GM food: what you are putting in to your body?

GM food is on the rise, not through public choice but due to the same kind of government lobbying, deceptive marketing that popularised cigarettes, milk, eggs, meat, fast food, fizzy drinks, alcohol and processed foods, which were all advertised as healthy and attractive to consume at one time or another.

It is your responsibility to check what you are putting in to your body, so please take it seriously. Start by looking at the ingredients on the food you purchase. Remember, if you cannot pronounce it, it is probably one of the “E numbers”. So, for the sake of your health, please investigate before you buy and then take action by adapting your food purchases accordingly.

Stop spending on chemical laden foods and eat more natural foods our bodies will assimilate, enjoy and react to in a positive manner, and these are organically grown plant-based foods.

Today, there are more people becoming sick and consuming more prescription drugs to combat their sickness. However, eating plant based foods, eliminating or significantly reducing processed foods and animal products from our diets and participating in daily exercise would help to alleviate many of the health problems afflicting society.

When purchasing animal products, you will not be told about the genetically modified, growth hormones, tranquillisers and antibiotics that are present in animal tissue. This is also true for some genetically modified (GM) foods. No one is going to tell you that you are about to purchase pesticide-laden products that have been genetically modified.

As it does not sound very appetising, such information is kept from us because there are no laws obliging to disclose all information on some of the foods marketed.

“Products such as flour, oils and glucose syrups have to be labelled as GM if they are from a GM source. Products produced with GM technology (cheese produced with GM enzymes, for example) do not have to be labelled. Products such as meat, milk and eggs from animals fed on GM animal feed also don’t need labelling.“

If you do not know, you will continue to buy, and that is why awareness is so important. Most people would prefer to eat organically grown quality food, rather than their genetically modified counterparts because the former is natural and has more nutrients while the latter is processed and has serious potential health risk.

Yet more and more animals are being fed GM fodder, and we are seeing more GM foods on supermarket shelves, marketed to us as excellent, natural and quality foods, without revealing all of the ingredients.

Imagine your home has been burgled, your thoughts will reflect your feelings, which will either be negative or positive. If your perception of the situation is negative you would be focusing on how bad things appear to be; someone coming into your home taking your possessions and you having to deal with the police, insurance, telling friends and family of your misfortune, triggering more negative feeling and thought, perpetuating a negative situation and circumstances for yourself and the people around you.

Practice what you preach

I believe that to be in a position of teaching, training and writing and to have any influence on another person’s life, we must believe in and practice the very thing that we are preaching. Others must see us lead by example. I feel that in this day and age it is becoming increasingly acceptable to say one thing and do another or to behave in a negative fashion and make it seem positive or correct by justifying it.

I educate people on how to transform their lives through implementing achievable changes that promote energy, happiness and sustainable positive behavior. Some clients have achieved incredible results which are documented on my website and are available for your viewing.

I believe when a person really understands how to control their thoughts and feelings, amazing things start to happen. Confidence and motivation increase, forcing doubt and insecurities to decrease. You can change the habits of a lifetime when you take responsibility for your thoughts and your emotions and are equipped with the correct tools to address them.

Ask positive questions

Get into the habit of asking yourself positive and motivational internal questions all of the time, throughout the day. Do this like you are expecting a reply or demanding an answer!

No matter what the situation or the circumstance, however challenging it may appear to be, ask yourself questions that will keep you in an optimistic frame of mind. This is where your choice comes in. Since you are going to ask yourself conscious or unconscious questions and internal statements any way, they may as well be empowering positive ones. You have the choice to ask yourself positive or negative questions, and you will know what type of question you are asking yourself by the way you feel. How you think will manifest itself in the way you feel. The questions we ask ourselves can only be positive or negative, and anything in between is unsure, reflecting uncertainty mistrust, scepticism or suspicion. These adjectives are negative, as are their associated actions. These actions can manifest into more physical attributes such as stress, fear, and depression or even non physical such as day dreaming and procrastination - so avoid being in between as they tend to be of a negative nature. positiveWhen a difficult situation arises in your life, you are more likely to overcome it if you face the challenge ahead of you optimistically and enthusiasticly, as opposed to feeling stressed out and afraid which will make the challenge seem even more daunting and resultantly even harder to overcome enthusiastically.

Empower yourself by asking positive questions.

Your internal thoughts do indeed have the power to give you what you want - what you ask for. Do not stop asking if you do not receive an answer the first time round, try again, as sooner or later your natural instinct, buried deep within every one of us will give you an answer. If you ask negative questions or express negative statements, you will receive a multitude of negative answers.

Positive internal questions will stimulate positive answers.

Those answers will become thoughts, which will in turn become negative habit. Conversely, asking positive internal questions will stimulate positive answers, which will become positive thoughts, which will in turn yield positive and optimistic feelings that help maintain and develop positive habits.

Our thoughts and feelings determine who we are, what we say and how we truly think about ourselves and others.

Our thoughts are our secrets, our desires and our dreams. They can also be our fears, our insecurities and our biggest hindrance. How we think and feel ultimately concludes the outcome of our lives.

Thoughts and feelings are fundamental in determining a person’s attitude and make up.

We have the power, and most certainly the choice to decide how we think and feel about situations, circumstances, ourselves and others, whether this be in the past present or future.

We process negative and positive thoughts and feelings through habitual choices formed and nurtured from childhood. We create these thoughts ourselves and despite being heavily influenced by external factors such as parents, relationships, family, friends, education, work, media and so forth, the control over these thoughts ultimately still belongs to us.

How we process thoughts and feelings is significant as this is what determines our state, how happy or sad a person really is. The great thing about this is, we truly have the gift to decide how we perceive outside influences and to manage our internal thoughts and feelings to our benefit. Whether our thoughts and feelings are negative or positive, they attract that same response in the way we feel and act.
